Investments in Tuas, Singapore facility expand product offering to support growing demand for plastic drums in the region
Mauser Packaging Solutions, a global leader in solutions and services across the packaging life cycle, has expanded its product offering in Singapore through a recent investment in state-of-the-art equipment for the manufacture of plastic drums. The investment also further supports the use of Mauser Packaging Solutions' Infinity Series in the region.
The new line located in Tuas, Singapore produces UN-certified tight-head plastic drums. Plastic drums are ideal for use in the petrol and oleo chemical, lubricant, paint, and coatings industries, and available in mono-layer or multi-layer configurations. The investment also enables Mauser Packaging Solutions to expand the availability of its Infinity Series drum portfolio which contains high-quality recycled material called Recolene®. Recolene® is manufactured in-house from suitable raw materials, such as empty industrial packaging collected through the company‘s Recover Syst-M, and reached the end of its usable life. Infinity Series products help reduce waste, conserve raw materials, and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
“This investment demonstrates our ongoing commitment to further expand our footprint in the region and partner with customers to deliver sustainable packaging solutions with unmatched quality and customer service. Our regional approach coupled with our global reach, provides new opportunities, and opens channels to new customers and markets,” said Ali Ozbudak, Vice President, Head of Asia Pacific.
The Tuas, Singapore facility has been in operation since 2012. In addition to manufacturing plastic drums, the facility also produces steel drums in a range of sizes. The site currently holds ISO 9001 and ISO 14000 certifications.
