Junior Commodity Buyer - indirect (m/f/d)

 

based in our International Headquarters in Bruehl (Cologne area).

 

 

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Negotiates technically complex investments
  • Supports in optimizing the Mauser P2P process for indirect purchases
  • Manages Mausers E-procurement system (Esize).
  • Has the responsibility and manages the sub -commodities: Injection moulds, MRO materials, plastic films and bags and other packaging materials.
  • Analyze supply data.
  • Support the identification of potential suppliers on a Global base.
  • Evaluation of existing suppliers in terms of quality and cost and service in order to meet customers (intern and extern) demands within their Commodity.
  • Guarantee compliance with Mauser quality and efficiency/cost standards on the area of the potential and actual suppliers.
  • Support to collaborate on the development of improved cost-effective programs, e.g. VA/VE in co-operation with other MIPS and Mauser positions.
  • Provide market information to Mauser organization where required.
  • Support the implementation of MIPS decisions.
  • Support business planning as well as support the controlling tools to ensure the achievement of plans and objectives within their Commodity.
  • Professional employee guidance and promotion within the subordinate structure to guarantee employee motivation and self-reliance as well as the achievement of the purchasing goals

 

YOUR IDEAL PROFILE:

  • University/business school degree (economics or engineering) or some years of purchasing experiences
  • Ability to effectively work under tight deadlines
  • English proficiency
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Project management
  • Some years of purchasing management
  • Matrix and project organizations
  • Commodity experiance for indirect materials or direct materials as a plus
  • Operational purchasing and P2P process
  • Good understanding of overall business context
