Employees Renew Commitment to Safety at Safety Stand-Down 2020
Mauser Packaging Solutions makes every effort to provide a safe and healthy environment for all those who work for and with the company. To renew its commitment to Safety in 2020, Mauser Packaging Solutions conducted its annual Safety Stand-Down the week of January 20 in its North American business units and the week of January 27 in its International Packaging Business unit.
Safety Depends on Everyone
The Safety Stand-Down brings together all MPS employees to reaffirm a collective commitment to safety and promote a culture of full engagement with the company’s safety programs. Executive Committee Members visited more than 50 facilities between January 20 -31 to speak to employees about the importance of safety.
Safety Stand-Downs began at all facilities with a meeting and global Safety presentation. The presentation highlighted localized facility and business unit specific safety metrics, provided production updates, reviewed safety investments and provided employees an opportunity to address safety concerns or make improvement suggestions directly to management. A video message from Ken Roessler, President and CEO, was delivered and all employees participated in a safety activity.
In 2020, Mauser Packaging Solutions will continue to improve and identify risks by creating and enforcing safety programs, best practices and guidelines. Quarterly safety breaks and activities will be held at each facility the remainder of the year. Safety is a cooperative undertaking requiring an ever-present safety consciousness on the part of every employee – Safety depends on everyone.
